Kentucky held a scrimmage on Saturday morning, and it didn’t exactly go according to plan.

During the action, senior WR Dorian Baker suffered what is being called a significant ankle injury and may be out for some time.

Coach Mark Stoops said after the scrimmage that the Wildcats will provide an update on Baker’s condition sometime next week:

That’s a big loss for Kentucky, as Baker was primed to step into a bigger role for the Wildcats’ offense.

As a junior in 2016, he played in six games, catching 14 passes for 208 yards and two touchdowns. If he is out for a significant period of time, the Wildcats will need to have some young players step up to fill his shoes.
