Kentucky starting cornerback Andru Phillips was not dressed for warmups ahead of kickoff.

Phillips suffered an injury against Mississippi State, and it looks like he won’t be playing vs. Crimson Tide. J.Q. Hardaway is expected to fill in for Phillips due to the injury.

The veteran corner has played in 9 games this season for the Wildcats. He’s accounted for 36 total tackles, 1 tackle for loss, and 2 passes defended.

This will be a tough challenge for Kentucky even without Phillips on the field. The Crimson Tide are coming off of a 42-28 win over LSU in Tuscaloosa.

Kentucky beat Mississippi State 24-3 in its last game with the Bulldogs struggling offensively with 145 total yards.

Luckily Kentucky won’t be without its starting quarterback. Devin Leary is set to return from injury, according to offensive coordinator Liam Coen.

Alabama has won 7 games in a row against Kentucky.

Kickoff from Kroger Field in Lexington will be at noon ET on ESPN.
