Kentucky on upset alert heading into NCAA Tournament? Support for Davidson picking up
For whatever reason, the #12 seed vs. #5 seed matchups always seems to produce an upset or two in the NCAA Tournament. This year, some are suggesting that Kentucky could be the team that gets sent home much earlier than expected.
It’s not just the seedings that suggest something could be up, Kentucky’s recent against the spread numbers in the NCAA Tournament is also pretty underwhelming. The Wildcats are currently a six-point favorite over Davidson.
ESPN College GameDay’s Chris Fallica says Davidson is a popular favorite among the gambling crowd.
Hearing a good bit of support for Davidson as an upsetter vs Kentucky. Vegas trends favor dog there too. Dogs are 11-3-2 ATS in UK last 16 tourney games with 6 outright wins.

Jay Bilas is also touting the chances of Davidson against Kentucky:
"I don't think Davidson going to beat Kentucky, but i think they will give them a really hard time." – @JayBilas

As is Jason McIntyre and the Ken Pom metrics:
Kentucky only favored by 6 vs Davidson should speak volumes.
Coaching mismatch (McKillop > Calipari). Kentucky hot now, but shooting is a major problem.
