Kentucky fan favorite RB Benny Snell, Jr. will be featured on his own cleats during the Citrus Bowl as the Big Blue Nation offers a send off to one of the best players in program history.

The “B-B-Benny and the Cats” cleats showcase the hit song from Elton John, “Bennie and the Jets,” which has played often in Kroger Field as Snell has delivered plenty of memorable performances.

Snell, who last month announced that he would leave for the NFL Draft, had three straight 1,000-yard rushing seasons at Kentucky. This season, he rushed for 1,305 yards and 14 touchdowns. Against Penn State, he is 107 yards away from become the school’s career rushing leader.

It’s fitting that a player with loads of personality and a “Snell Yeah” catch phrase would go out with some colorful cleats.
