The final Belk Bowl was one for the ages.

Leading up to the game, Kentucky’s standout junior Lynn Bowden Jr. declared his intention to leave school early for the 2020 NFL Draft but there was no way he wasn’t going to finish out his Wildcat career on the field.

As you could have expected leading up to the Belk Bowl, Bowden went out in style.

Bowden set a new all-time bowl rushing record from the quarterback position as he rushed for 233 yards against the Hokies. That figure broke Johnny Manziel’s previous record for rushing yards by a QB in a bowl game.

While everyone expected Bowden to run wild over Virginia Tech, no one could have predicted he would throw the game-winning pass in the final Belk Bowl.

However, that’s exactly what happened.

Kentucky won the game 31-30 thanks to Bowden’s last-minute heroics.
