Mark Stoops makes decision about his future at Kentucky, per report
Mark Stoops has been rumored as a possible candidate at multiple jobs this hiring season, and the Kentucky coach has given plenty of reason for other programs to be interested.
Stoops is 58-53 in 9 seasons at Kentucky, and this season the Wildcats are 9-3. Stoops has previously called for upgrades to UK’s facilities, and other resources added to the program. And according to a report from Matt Jones of Kentucky Sports Radio, Stoops has agreed to the investment and changes Mitch Barnhart, the Kentucky athletics director promised.
Keep in mind that Stoops beat Florida and LSU this year, and he’s won at a program that had only won more than 8 games 4 times in the previous 100-plus years.
It is my understanding that Mark Stoops and Mitch Barnhart reached an agreement Sunday about investment and changes that needed to be made to the program
I now expect Mark Stoops to remain as the coach at Kentucky

Stoops has turned around Kentucky largely behind his Midwest recruiting, most notably his native Ohio. He was mentioned in recent days and weeks for jobs like LSU and Oklahoma, but it appears he’s staying in Lexington.
