After Kentucky’s victory over Florida Saturday, there are plenty of people who seem to be sky high over the Cats and their 5-0 start. The Wildcats beat the Gators for the first time at home since 1986, 20-13, which also helped them jump into the top 25 at No. 16 going into this weekend’s game.

When speaking to Peter Burns and Chris Doering on the SEC Network about the success the Cats are having this season, head coach Mark Stoops said this:

“Why can it not be us? We can play with anybody, but we can’t get ahead of ourselves either. You have the opportunity every 7 days to be humbled.”

Stoops knows what he speaks. His team struggled a few weeks ago against Chattanooga, and there were plenty of questions about how the team would respond from that lackluster effort.

Stoops continues to say that his team needs to continue to do the things it’s done to get to where it wants to go.
