Mark Stoops shares why he has confidence in Kentucky
Mark Stoops has been known to have a fall camp flare up, but this year, reports out of Lexington suggest that the Wildcats coach has plenty to like about his team.
With the start of classes and practice geared toward the opening game against Ball State, the sometimes volatile Stoops has remained calm and focused on preparation, overcoming challenges, and staying focused.
“I would say it’s been a consistent camp, but it doesn’t mean it’s been all ups,” Stoops said. “There’s been ups and downs and each and every day there’s new challenges, but I do have a lot of confidence in this team. I feel their approach has been very good.”
Sports betting in Kentucky opens next month. Here are details to take advantage of lucrative sportsbook promos and sign-up bonuses.
The focus has been on day-to-day improvement from players and coaches. “I have a lot of confidence in our staff and we’re attacking every day,” Stoops said. “It’s about concentrating and being dialed in each and every day to get the things we need to get done.”
I had the chance to talk with Mark Stoops today ahead of our @BBNTonight Football Preview Special which airs on @LEX18News Sunday at Noon.
