Mark Stoops offered good news for Kentucky faith on Wednesday during the SEC coaches media teleconference when he noted that WR Josh Ali will “definitely play” on Saturday at Mississippi State.

Ali, who suffered a leg injury against Florida, returned to practice on Tuesday.

“You always gotta be a touch concerned when a skill guy is coming off a knee injury,” Stoops said. “… He will definitely play and hopefully be at full speed.”

Kentucky has struggled in Starkville in recent years, and hasn’t won there since 2008.

Ali, who missed the last 2 catches and only made one catch against Florida for 15 yards, has 17 catches this season for 248 yards and a touchdown.

Ali still ranks second on the team in catches and receiving yards, and while Ali was out, Kentucky swapped a wide receiver position in favor of a tight end on the depth chart.
