The Los Angeles Clippers like having DeMarcus Cousins around so much, the team has made the decision to keep the forward on contract for the rest of the NBA season.
Cousins has played a total of eight games for the Clippers this season and has averaged 6.3 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists. Following the end of his 10-day contract, ESPN NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski was the first to report the team was going to resign Cousins for the rest of the season.
The Clippers’ season runs through May 16.
The former Kentucky standout has played nine seasons in the NBA (he missed the 2019-20 season after suffering an ACL injury).
For his NBA career, Cousins has made a total of 599 appearances with 554 starts.
