The season didn’t go close to expected for Kentucky or freshman Devin Askew.
The first step toward correct that problem and making a strong comeback next season? It starts with an immediate buy-in and that’s apparently what the Wildcats are getting from Askew.
Askew plans on returning to Kentucky next season his father tells Jack Pilgrim of Kentucky Sports Radio.
“Yes sir, (Devin) is locked in for next season,” Brian Askew said the day after Kentucky’s season came to a halt after losing to Mississippi State in the SEC Tournament.
The freshman guard averaged 6.5 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game during his debut season for Kentucky.
He arrived in Lexington after being rated as a four-star prospect in the 2021 recruiting cycle from California.
