Just a few weeks after landing a position on Mark Stoops’ Kentucky coaching staff, Jemal Singleton is reportedly leaving Lexington.

Kentucky officially announced the hire of the former Cincinnati Bengals running backs coach on Jan. 7 but he’s apparently returning to the NFL according to Matt Jones of Kentucky Sports Radio.

According to Jones, Singleton will be the new running backs coach and assistant head coach with the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles recently hired Nick Sirianni to be the franchise’s new head coach following the dismissal of Doug Pederson.

The Wildcats had a full staff of 10 full-time assistant coaches before losing Singleton to the NFL.

Now Stoops will have to hire a new running backs coach to go along with a new offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach in Liam Cohen (formerly of the Los Angeles Rams) and new offensive line coach in Eric Wolford (formerly of South Carolina).
