No homework? SEC Network crew has no idea about LB Kash Daniel's benching
One of the biggest stories surrounding Kentucky football, and arguably SEC football, was Wildcats LB Kash Daniel being accused of trying to purposely injure Florida QB Kyle Trask.
The original accusation made the rounds hours after the game and Sunday morning. Mark Stoops and Dan Mullen were both asked about it in media opportunities during the week. Daniel denied the accusation in a media session with UK reporters. After Daniel spoke to reporters, video of the play from a different angle emerged and appeared to contradict his story. Even some non-Cats/Gators football fans are aware of that timeline of events.
The SEC Network broadcast crew calling the Kentucky at Mississippi State game appeared to be unaware of the Daniel story. Viewers noticed that the broadcasters appeared to have no idea why Daniel was benched.
So the TV crew is mystified by why Kentucky made a change at starting MLB.

Matt Stinchcomb should sit for a series or more for the Kash Daniel comment.

Matt Jones of Kentucky Sports Radio points out it’s not the first time an ESPN/SEC crew has made a Kentucky blunder calling a Wildcats game in 2019:
I am told different crew than Eastern Michigan…they did Toledo game
Still should know the info https://t.co/SqXyfyGeIM
