Oscar Tshiebwe and Kentucky are in a tough battle with Kansas State looking to earn a spot in the Sweet 16. Both teams are struggling from the field and playing excellent defense in what is becoming a 2023 NCAAT classic.
And Tshiebwe is doing Tshiebwe things. He’s already up to 17 rebounds and counting with over 5 minutes remaining in the game. In case you somehow haven’t been paying attention, Tshiebwe is continuing to make his case as one of the best rebounders in men’s college basketball history.
In fact, with Saturday’s effort Tshiebwe became the first player since 1973 to record 15+ rebounds in his first 3 NCAAT games. He had 25 rebounds in Kentucky’s win over Providence Friday and 16 rebounds in last year’s first-round loss to St. Peters.
Just another day at the office for the reigning National Player of the Year.

Oh, and he’s also the only SEC player to record multiple seasons of 20 or more double-doubles in the 21st century.

The Wildcats are looking to advance to the Sweet 16 against one of Marquette or Michigan State. Can they pull it off?
An exciting finish is coming up on CBS.
