Ray Davis: Kentucky RB’s massive 1st half perfomance drawing major social media attention

Ray Davis is putting on a show for Kentucky against Florida at Kroger Field on Saturday afternoon.

The Wildcats running back has had a winding college career: as a true freshman at Temple in 2019, he totaled over 1,000 yards from scrimmage, but injuries in 2020, along with one that cut his short 1st year at Vanderbilt in 2021 after transferring, sidetracked things. He bounced back in 2022 to rush for over 1,000 yards for the Commodores.

Now, 5 games into his time at Kentucky, he has delivered what’s been far and away his best game in a Wildcat uniform so far. In 1 half of football, he has 206 yards rushing and a pair of touchdowns — including one that went for a career-high 75 yards. He has also recorded a receiving touchdown.

Kentucky is leading Florida, 23-7, at halftime. Davis is enjoying an all-time performance. How can he add on to it in the 2nd half with the Wildcats holding a big lead?
