Report: Kentucky lands new assistant from Illinois
The Kentucky men’s basketball staff has had some turnover this offseason. But, coach John Calipari is closing in on a big hire.
According to reports, the Wildcats are nearing a deal with assistant Chin Coleman, who previously served as an assistant under Brad Underwood at Illinois:

Tony Barbee and Joel Justus left for other jobs this offseason, and Coleman will be replacing one of them.
Coleman has served as an assistant at Colorado State, Bradley, Nebraska and Illinois-Chicago. He has worked under Underwood for the past few years.
Fellow ex-Illinois assistant Orlando Antigua is expected to join Calipari’s staff, per 247Sports. He was previously at Kentucky from 2009 to 2014.
