Roman Harper spoke on the podcast “The Next Round” about Will Levis on Wednesday. Harper played DB for Alabama from 2003-2005.

In one of the latest mock drafts, ESPN’s Matt Miller projected Levis to be taken at No. 11 overall by the Tennessee Titans. However, there have been some that expect Levis to go earlier.

Harper shared concerns about Levis being taken early in the 2023 NFL Draft.

“When I watch Will Levis play, he makes throws that nobody else can make and does it effortlessly. In some of these same throws you’re like ‘Why are you throwing that ball, that is such a bad decision’. He just turns the ball over so much at times, which I don’t like about him. If you don’t go into the right situation early, you don’t have the amount of success or the right amount of people around you to teach you and help you learn the game you’ll get burned out. That’s my biggest concern with Will Levis going to No. 2 overall.”

Levis transferred to Kentucky after spending 2018-2020 at Penn State. As a Wildcat, he compiled 5,232 yards passing with 43 touchdowns and 23 interceptions.

Levis led Kentucky to an 7-6 regular season finish. The Wildcats went to lose to Iowa in the Music City Bowl 21-0.

What pick should Levis be taken with on Thursday?
