Kentucky didn’t have a ton of work left to do on National Signing Day Part II, but it still got the job done.

Shortly after the Wildcats picked up 4-star linebacker Chris Oats, they signed another top target.

Kentucky signed 3-star running back Kavosiey Smoke:

Besides being a member of the all-name team, Smoke is the No. 46 athlete and the No. 579 player overall in the 2018 class. He had offers from South Carolina, Florida, Georgia Tech, Missouri, Virginia Tech and others.

He’s listed as an athlete, but the 6-foot, 215-pound Alabama natve figures to try and carve out a roll in the Kentucky backfield. The Wildcats recently lost Bryant Koback via transfer, which hurt their depth behind first-team All-SEC tailback Benny Snell.

Smoke is the second back to join Kentucky’s 2018 class, which stands at No. 11 in the SEC and No. 34 overall in the 247sports rankings.
