SEC fans have known for the last couple of years that Kentucky RB Benny Snell Jr. is the real deal.

After all, he can become one of only a handful of SEC running backs to eclipse 1,000 yards three separate times if he does it this year (which he likely will if he’s healthy).

Already this season, he’s put up 300 yards and two touchdowns on 47 carries, leading Kentucky to a 2-0 record. On Wednesday’s edition of “Around the Horn” on ESPN, panelist Clinton Yates gave Snell some Heisman love, as you can see below:

Snell will have his work cut out for him if he wants to even earn an invitation to New York City for the Heisman ceremony, but with national media starting to pay attention, it’s a great sign.

Now, he’ll just have to keep leading the Wildcats to victories and the accolades should come.
