It was reported last week that Kentucky G Hamidou Diallo was likely to enter the 2018 NBA Draft, and on Monday night, he made it official.

Diallo posted a video to his Twitter account thanking Kentucky for a great year before announcing he was declaring for the draft and hiring an agent.

Check out his message to Big Blue Nation below:

“I’d like to start off by thanking the coaching staff, thanking my teammates and my brothers,” he said. “You guys lifted me up through thick and thin. No matter what it was, you guys always supported me and had my back. Nothing made me prouder than putting that Kentucky jersey across my chest. …

“I am entering my name into the 2018 NBA Draft. I am ready to take the next step. Thank you, Big Blue Nation. You took a kid in from New York City and made his dreams come true. I love you guys and can’t thank you enough for supporting me throughout everything.”

Diallo was actually a 2017 commit, but didn’t play in a game last season because he was a late entry to the program. This year, he started all 37 of Kentucky’s games, averaging 10 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.2 assists per contest.
