WATCH: Josh Allen says he should be the No. 1 overall NFL Draft pick: 'If I don't go No. 1, I don't know who is'
Kentucky LB/DE Josh Allen just put the finishing touches on his senior season, leading the Wildcats to their 10th victory of the season in Tuesday’s Citrus Bowl.
Allen took a chance and came back for his senior season this year and, boy, did it pay off. Now, he’s getting serious buzz as a potential top-five pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
However, he has even higher aspirations. As you can see in the video below, which he posted in the postgame locker room, he thinks he should be No. 1:

“I’ll tell y’all right now, if I don’t go No. 1, I don’t know who is,” he says in the video.
Allen will have his work cut out for him to reach No. 1, but he has the talent necessary to get the job done with a big performance at the NFL Combine.
Man these kids are arrogant.
No doubt this is an arrogant statement, but Allen has been relatively humble and has a great story about struggles as a child and being a no name 2 star recruit so I’d cut him some slack.
Agree, he has been humble, believe he said this for laughs and having fun in the moment. Go CATS!!!
He’s been pretty tight lipped his entire time at UK, so this doesn’t bother me. Besides, I think some draft boards do have him going No. 1 overall and he is/was second most likely to be No. 1 according to Vegas odds.
This is awkward.
Watching Kentucky lose isn’t going to be as satisfying when Mouth-of-the-South Snell leaves.
Coming from GEORGIA GUY! REALLY???? hHhahaHAHhAHAHa
He’s confidant and pretty good, but how much emphasis do the teams REALLY put on that Wonderlic Test?
And you spelled confident wrong. Which in the context of that comment, DOES matter a lot.
You think arrogance is a sign of lack of intelligence after spending the entire season letting your talent do ALL the talk? Is that what you’re insinuating? Come on, man.
If he was making a joke, then good for him.
If he’s serious, then he would have been better off to let his record speak for itself.
I’m not a fan of the “swagger” in athletics these days.
Maybe he’s getting himself psyched up for the combine.
Well stated…
