Former Kentucky star Kevin Knox was the No. 9 overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, going to the New York Knicks amid boos from their fanbase.

However, he made a big splash in his first professional game, throwing down a massive dunk to start the scoring for the Knicks’ Summer League team.

Obviously, Summer League is not the same as the regular season, but it’s still a good sign for Knox and the Knicks.

He’s off to a good start for the Knicks, and perhaps he can follow in the footsteps of big man Kristaps Porzingis, who has made fans regret booing him on draft night.
