Kentucky pulled out one of the more improbable wins on Saturday, and coach Mark Stoops let loose in the locker room after the game.
The Wildcats scored on an untimed down as QB Terry Wilson found TE C.J. Conrad in the corner of the end zone to deliver a 15-14 win over Missouri in Columbia.
If there was any doubt if Stoops is a players’ coach, he removed all doubt as he celebrated in the locker room, and then plunged into a sea of players to crowd surf in jubilation.
Stoops, a defensive-minded coach, not doubt is especially proud that his team continues to win behind its defense. The Wildcats held Missouri to 249 yards, and has kept six opponents to less than 20 points.
The Wildcats won after they trailed 14-3, and improved to 7-1 and 5-1 in the SEC with an SEC East deciding game next week against Georgia.
