What John Calipari said after Kentucky’s big season-opening win over Morehead State

The Kentucky Wildcats cruised to an easy season-opening victory over Morehead State on Wednesday night at Rupp Arena. The final score ended up being 81-45, but it wasn’t even that close.

Kentucky’s vaunted No. 1 2020 recruiting class lived up to expectations, accounting for 57 of the Wildcats’ 81 points. Transfers Olivier Sarr, Davion Mintz and Jacob Toppin also contributed in big ways.

After the game, coach John Calipari had plenty to say. Below, you can see his thoughts on the freshmen, the transfers, the atmosphere and where the Cats go from here:

Kentucky’s next test is on Sunday against a tough Richmond squad. We’ll see if the freshman class continues to impress moving forward.
