Mark Stoops was understandably not happy after his team’s Week 6 loss in Athens. The Wildcats fell to the Georgia Bulldogs by a score of 51-13.

After the game, Stoops gave credit to the Bulldogs, saying the Bulldogs “beat us in every area.”

Stoops also acknowledged that his team wasn’t prepared for the matchup.

“It was one game where we weren’t prepared and they kicked our butt,” said Stoops.

Stoops also didn’t mince words when it came to his QB. Devin Leary completed just 10-of-26 passes on Saturday, by far his worst completion percentage of the season. Stoops admitted that he was “a little disappointed” in the QB’s play.

While Leary didn’t have his best game, the QB was far from the only reason the team lost. The Wildcats had 2 post-play penalties that reflected a “lack of discipline,” per coach Stoops.

Finally, Stoops stressed the need to refocus and get prepared for the upcoming matchup against Missouri.

“We have to respond this week,” explained the coach.

The Wildcats will try to get back to their winning ways in Week 7. The Missouri Tigers also suffered their 1st loss of the season on Saturday, so both teams will be looking to get back into the win column.
