Will Levis is anticipated to make his NFL debut as the Tennessee Titans’ starting quarterback in the absence of the injured Ryan Tannehill (ankle), according to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

The Kentucky product was tabbed the Titans with the No. 33 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. Titans head coach Mike Vrabel also acknowledged that Malik Willis will also see some time under center with the veteran Tannehill out. Tannehill sustained the injury in the Titans’ Week 6 defeat vs. the Baltimore Ravens and missed practice on Tuesday.

Levis was initially behind both Tannehill and Willis on the depth chart prior to the promotion.

The 24-year-old Levis was out for 2 of the Titans’ 3 preseason contests with a thigh injury, so this gives the Titans the ability to get a firm read on the rookie.

The 6-foot-4, 229-pound Levis began his college career with 14 games played and 2 starts at Penn State in which he passed for 654 yards, 3 touchdowns and 2 interceptions while rushing for 473 yards and 6 scores.

Levis transferred to Kentucky in 2021 and spent 2 seasons with the Wildcats. Levis amassed 43 touchdown passes against 23 interceptions with 11 rushing scores as a Wildcat.

Kentucky will host No. 21 Tennessee on Saturday at 7 p.m. EST. The game will be televised on ESPN.
