Although college football programs are currently embroiled in a mad push for the class of 2017, it isn’t preventing Ed Orgeron and the LSU Tigers from working on next year’s class.
On Sunday, 2018 linebacker Damone Clark announced that he has committed to LSU. The Baton Rouge native opted for his hometown team over the likes of Colorado, Mississippi State, Florida, and Miami:

Clark becomes the fourth ’18 pledge for LSU — joining corner Kelvin Joseph, safety Caden Sterns, and safety Nadab Joseph.
Damone Clark says he committed to #LSU today while standing at midfield of TS with Orgeron.

With all four early commitments hailing from the defensive side of the ball, it’s clearly evident Orgeron and his staff are making it a major priority.
