4-star 2021 defensive end from Florida announces commitment to LSU
To celebrate Independence Day, some top 2021 recruits are narrowing down their lists of top schools or announcing their commitments.
Keanu Koht, a 4-star 2021 defensive end from Vero Beach, Florida, falls into the latter category, as the talented defender has announced where he’ll play in 2021 and beyond.
As you can see below, he took to Twitter on Saturday to reveal that he’d be playing for coach Ed Orgeron and the LSU Tigers:

Per the 247Sports composite rankings, Koht is the No. 18 weak-side defensive end in the class of 2021 and the No. 34 overall recruit from the state of Florida.
The Tigers now have 15 players in their 2021 recruiting class, which currently ranks No. 5 nationally and No. 2 in the SEC, per 247Sports.
Below, check out some of Koht’s high school highlights, courtesy of Hudl:
Looks like we have another wall climber…Vero Beach, is that close to Baton Rouge? Say hello to Arik, tell him when he gets homesick to call Kirby…we’ve left the light on for him…
Not the first or the last elite Florida player to go out of state, but I understand you are trying to make this look like something it’s not.
Keep trying silly puppy
Hey now, I was an equal opportunity shade thrower this time, even dug at Kirby for missing 5* Arik Gilbert last year…silly puppy much more palatable than obnoxious moron, thanks mee palley. That wasn’t hard now was it? Seriously tho I hope you and yours have a great 4th…stay safe out there…
I’m trying but it’s not easy. Same to you
Why would Arik even consider Leghumper U? He can catch more passes in a game at LSU than he would in a season at the overhyped darling of the SEC East.
Hard to argue with that, Geauxkitten, And in spite of gawds chosen land, the worldly renowned TEU, PurpleBogKatU still had to battle the hydrant psssers all the way down to the wire. One jealous Leghumper can’t help but wonder how that would have played out had we hired Monken and gave Coley his aTm walking papers before early signing day. Monken’s offensive schemes appear more Tight End wise, we’ll see. Guess we’ll settle for the other 5* TE tiny little 6’8 270 speedster Darnell Washington…
From your post we can tell that the annual Georgia hype train has left the station and will again derail during the course of the season. This year the Georgia hype train will derail in Tuscaloosa & Jacksonville. Georgia football…a tradition of overhyped expectations and delusional gridiron dominance.
Without hype there is no hope, without hope there is no optimism, without optimism there is no disappointment, there is only Vanderbilt…as long as Kirby keeps us relevant every preseason its all good…
A National Championship Will bring those Four**** & Five***** Athletes to Your Program.
To be honest, we’ve always gotten them. Just not this many from out of state. With the top LB from Cali, top RB from Ohio, elite LB from GA and great players from TX and FL, O is turning LSU into more of a National recruiting school. This is unprecedented. Hopefully he gets the usual top in- state recruits as well. But this takes some of the pressure off.
LSU normally must get 60-70% of the elite in-state kids to be elite, which is a nice luxury not having to leave your backyard. But it’s tough when you miss on some of them.
Wow! Another great get! O is killing it with out of state recruits! He’s got a top 5 class with only about 3 of the 15 recruits being from LA! If he gets the usual haul of 70% of the elite in- state recruits, LSU has a top 3 class and could finish #1. Hold that Tiger!!!
LSU should definitely finish with the 5th best recruiting class in 2021. How strong they finish dictates a 3rd or 4th ranked class…I don’t see the Tigers getting enough 5 stars to push them to a 1st or 2nd ranked class. I think it is going to be very hard for anyone to knock Ohio State off from top of the mountain.
Went to High School at Vero with this kid. I was a senior when he was a sophomore. Didn’t think he was D1 material then but I was completely wrong. Good luck to him except the one game each year against us.
