Everything is coming up Joe Burrow these days, as the star LSU quarterback is almost a lock to win the Heisman Trophy at this point.

The Tigers just won the SEC title and will now be playing in the College Football Playoff to try to win a national title. Then, when all that is over, Burrow is getting some serious buzz as the potential No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

On SportsCenter on Sunday morning, ESPN’s Adam Schefter said multiple NFL front offices are comparing Burrow to another former No. 1 overall pick — Los Angeles Rams QB Jared Goff:

“His stock has obviously risen tremendously,” Schefter said. “Speaking to some front offices this week they compared him to Jared Goff, the former No. 1 overall pick of the Los Angeles Rams. They say efficient, polished, accurate, pretty good arm. Arm is not as good as Tua’s, and he’s not the athlete that Tua is, but he’s very efficient. He’s a quick decision-maker. He’s more of your typical drop back guy, and that was the name that came up: Jared Goff.

“Again, that worked out pretty well for Jared Goff, and it’s probably going to work out pretty well for Joe Burrow, too. He’s going to win the Heisman. Has a chance to be the No. 1 overall pick.”

Goff has had a rough 2019 season, but he did lead the Rams to a Super Bowl appearance just last season.

How will Burrow’s NFL career pan out? Well, he still has one or two college games left before he starts worrying about that.
