LSU’s surprisingly strong start to the season has got fans wanting to see the Tigers in person — even if it’s just a non-conference game.

The school announced Thursday evening that LSU’s game against Louisiana Tech has sold out.

The early sellout might be due to this game being between two schools from the same state, but it probably has more to do with the wave of excitement that has enveloped the program during its 3-0 start and rapid rise to No. 6 in the polls.

An underdog in games against then-No. 8 Miami and then-No. 7 Auburn, LSU has responded to its doubters in emphatic fashion. The Tigers (3-0) can keep their hot start going when they host Louisiana Tech (2-0) at 7 p.m. Saturday.

If tickets to this game are already sold out, good luck finding a seat for LSU’s home games against the likes of Mississippi State, Georgia and Alabama.
