Alex Bregman crushes solo home run to extend Astros’ lead over Twins
Alex Bregman absolutely crushed his 25th home run of the season Tuesday.
The LSU product smoked a ball over the left field fence against the Minnesota Twins. The ALDS between the Houston Astros and Twins was tied at 1-1 heading into the matchup. Bregman’s batting average was .262 before the game.
Pitcher Sonny Gray left a ball right where Bregman wanted it, and the rest was history.

Houston won Game 1 6-4, but Minnesota bounced back in Game 2 6-2 to even the series. The teams will be playing in Minnesota again Wednesday, then the game will head back to Houston Friday if needed.
Bregman has spent his entire career with the Astros.
He was taken out of LSU with the second-overall pick back in the 2015 MLB Draft. Bregman has finished in the top five in MVP voting twice and made the All-Star Game multiple times.
He also won a Silver Slugger award for his efforts during the 2019 season.
