Ali Gaye announced Tuesday morning that he will be skipping LSU’s bowl game against Purdue to prepare for the NFL Draft.

Gaye spent 3 years in Baton Rouge after transferring from Garden City Community College in Kansas. The 5th-year senior made his bowl announcement via his personal Twitter account.

Gaye totaled 86 tackles across his 3 years with the Tigers, with 9 pass deflections and 6.5 sacks along the way. He also forced 3 fumbles with 1 interception. He earned 2nd-team All SEC honors in 2020 and is likely to be around a 3rd round draft pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.
