The Houston native chose the Tigers over Texas, Florida, Georgia, Texas A&M, Florida State, Oklahoma, and Baylor, among several others. LSU officially announced his commitment by sending out this tweet:
Hold that Tiger! Welcome to the LSU family K'Lavon Chaisson of Houston, Texas @WhosThatGuy4 https://t.co/u5lZiw7Wck #LSUNSD17 pic.twitter.com/9olVe7lW8w

It wasn’t just LSU excited to see Chaisson join the Tigers, as Bruce Feldman of FOX Sports expressed his thoughts on the school’s latest edition:
Big get for #LSU going into Texas to get 5-star K'Lavon Chiasson, nation's top pass rusher.

The 6-foot-4, 220-pound Chaisson is rated as a four-star recruit, the No. 4 weak-side defensive end, Texas’ No. 5 overall prospect and the No. 37 overall prospect in the nation, according to 247Sports. If Chaisson can add some weight, don’t rule out a move to outside linebacker in Dave Aranda’s defense.
Check out Chaisson’s versatility in this highlight reel. SEC opponents are going to need some luck, and probably some prayers, to block this guy coming off the edge in the seasons to come.
