One of the most important aspects of preparing for a big matchup is being consistent in practice.

Consistency is the message Brian Kelly is preaching ahead of LSU’s crucial matchup against Ole Miss on Saturday.

“Consistency is what we look for,” Kelly said in a speech before the Tigers’ departed for Ole Miss. “If we can be consistent and we can be accountable, then we’re going to have a great weekend.”

Kelly is hoping his team was consistent enough in practice this week and that it will pay off with a win on Saturday. The game against the Rebels is high stakes, as it could have SEC West implications down the road.

Ole Miss faced its first loss of the season last week to Alabama and will be looking to make up for it on Saturday to stay in the SEC West race.

LSU is hoping to stay undefeated in SEC play as well as build its resume for a possible College Football Playoff appearance. The loss to Florida State certainly hurt the Tigers’ chances, but picking up big wins over Ole Miss, Alabama and others could put them back in the conversation.
