Brian Kelly had a special game ball to give out after LSU’s win over Texas A&M.

Kelly presented the game ball to Malik Nabers, who is now just 22-yards shy of breaking the record for LSU’s all-time receiving yards.

“We know about the great ones that have been here, but the game ball goes to Malik Nabers,” Kelly said after the game.

Nabers was humble with his speech after receiving the game ball, praising his teammates for helping him get to where he is now.

“I appreciate all y’all boys,” Nabers said. “It’s been a long journey since I came here as a freshman and I never thought I would be here.”

Nabers would have gotten the record on Saturday, but his 75-yard touchdown was brought back after Kyren Lacy picked up a holding call. Nabers let Lacy know that there are no hard feelings about the situation.

“I’m not mad at you, at least you were the one directing me, and you wanted me to hit it,” Nabers said. “You’re a long-time brother. I’m gonna have you in my corner forever. It’s not your fault, I’m gonna get it.”
