Brian Kelly jokingly uses transitive property to predict win over Georgia
South Carolina beat Kentucky by a lot in Week 2, 31-6, before falling to LSU this past weekend 36-33. The Tigers didn’t look too good in the first half, but found their motor in the 2nd half to secure a tight win.
Kentucky went on to go down to the wire with then-No. 1 ranked Georgia, the best team in the country across the past 5 years. The Wildcats had the ball with under 2 minutes remaining and fell 13-12.
Now, Brian Kelly and the Tigers do not see Georgia in the regular season this year. Regardless, on Monday Kelly jokingly used the transitive property to deduce that the Tigers would beat Georgia “by a lot” if they were to meet in the postseason.
Brian Kelly on the relative theory.
We beat South Carolina, who beat Kentucky by a lot. Kentucky took Georgia down to the very end.
“I guess that means we’ll be Georgia by a lot,” he joked.#LSU

Kelly was more using the example to show just how important road games in the SEC are. South Carolina’s defense gave the Tigers everything they had, and they very nearly walked away with a victory because of it. There are truly no off days when facing SEC talent.
LSU’s next opponent is UCLA, which just fell to Indiana last week. The game is set for 3:40 p.m. ET from Baton Rouge.
