Brian Thomas Jr. reflects on LSU career, makes 2024 announcement

Brian Thomas Jr. has made it official. LSU’s leader in touchdown receptions for 2023 will play professionally in 2024.
Thomas took to social media to announce his entry into the 2024 NFL Draft after 3 seasons at LSU. The former Walker High School standout reflected on “one hell of an experience” playing for the Tigers.
“First and foremost, I thank God for putting me in this position,” Thomas wrote. “I thank my parents, Sondra and Brian Thomas Sr., for your continued sacrifices, dedication and support throughout my entire career. Thank you to my coaches and teammates for pushing me to be the absolute best, day in and day out, and to everyone associated with LSU football, it’s been an honor to be part of this excellent program.
“Playing in Tiger Stadium was always a dream of mine and choosing to attend LSU was definitely one hell of an / experience! There is no place like Death Valley on Saturday nights surrounded by the best fans in college football!
“My time at LSU has been extraordinary and has prepared me to confidently take the next step in my career by declaring for the 2024 NFL Draft! I will always cherish my LSU family and carry the experience with me as l pursue my lifelong dream.
“Forever LSU.”
While Malik Nabers grabbed headlines for leading the nation in receiving yards this past season, Thomas bested his superstar teammate as the national leader in TD receptions, 17 to 14. Thomas logged 68 catches for 1,177 yards in his final season as a Tiger.
He went out in style, snagging 8 receptions for 98 yards and 2 touchdowns in LSU’s ReliaQuest Bowl victory, giving the Tigers 10 wins for the season.
