Chris “The Bear” Fallica revealed his betting pick for this week’s UAB-LSU game.

In an appearance on ESPN’s “Always College Football,” Fallica discussed the surprising betting lines for this game. Critics of the lines believed that it should have been greater than the -14.5 spread in favor of LSU in Week 12.

Fallica explained why the spread was closer than most people expected it to be:

“UAB has a really good back in DeWayne McBride and will the UAB offensive line be able to open up some holes for him?” Fallica said. “Look at what LSU has done the last 4 weeks. You have the win at Florida, you rally for a season-changing win against Ole Miss at home, probable upset of Alabama, the trap games of all trap games in Arkansas last week.”

Based on Fallica’s analysis, LSU could be running out of gas with the string of close victories in SEC play. Fallica viewed this game as an opportunity for UAB to keep it closer than expected and cover. LSU has struggled on offense in recent weeks and covering 14.5 points could be a problem. LSU is 5-1 against the spread in 2022.

With a 5-5 record, UAB is competing for bowl eligibility. This will be a meaningful game for UAB and could motivate the Blazers and hang around with LSU. UAB and LSU will face off on Saturday at 9 p.m. ET.
