CJ Daniels, Liberty standout WR, announces SEC transfer
CJ Daniels, former Liberty standout, has decided on a new school for the 2024 season. The wide receiver spent 4 seasons with the Liberty Flames and will now head to the SEC.
Daniels took to Instagram to announce his commitment to the LSU Tigers.

Daniels collected 55 catches for 1,067 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2023. Over 42 games with the Flames, Daniels came down with 106 catches for 1,954 yards and 21 TDs. The receiver will have 2 years of eligibility remaining with the Tigers.
Daniels entered the transfer portal on January 4. The receiver played in the Fiesta Bowl for the Flames against Oregon on New Year’s Day. Daniels came down with 8 catches for 79 yards in a 45-6 loss.
The receiver was originally a 3-star prospect per the 247Sports Composite ranking. Daniels was rated as the No. 338 receiver and the No. 227 prospect out of Georgia in the 2020 class. Daniels chose Liberty and developed into a go-to receiving option.
Daniels is the 6th player to commit to the Tigers via the portal. Former Vanderbilt quarterback AJ Swann and Mississippi State wide receiver Zavion Thomas are the other offensive players to join the squad. Jardin Gilbert, Jyaire Brown, and Austin Ausberry have been added to the defense.
