LSU has revealed the contract terms for new defensive assistants Andre Carter and Blake Baker, Brody Miller of The Athletic shared on Twitter.

LSU is set to pay Carter, the new defensive line coach, $200,000 for his first season and $450,000 in his second season. Miller shared two points on the big bump in pay for Carter. The New York Jets still owe Carter from his deal with the club. The bump in pay should also help keep Carter from heading back to the NFL after one year in Baton Rouge. Carter got his start in coaching at Cal in 2015 as a grad assistant and since then has bounced around the NFL (2016-20).

Baker, the team’s new linebackers coach, will also get a bump in pay in his second year on the job. The Tigers are set to pay Baker $500,000 for his first season and $550,000 in Year 2. Baker arrives at LSU after being a defensive coordinator and linebackers coach at Miami (2019-20) and Louisiana Tech (2015-18) the past six seasons.
