Though LSU hasn’t beaten Alabama since 2011, it’s still an important game for both teams, and the scores have been close more often than not.
In fact, four of the wins in the Crimson Tide’s six-win streak have been by two touchdowns or less.
Having lost 10-0 to Alabama as an interim coach last year, coach Ed Orgeron knows next weekend’s game against Nick Saban’s squad is an important one, calling it a “must-win” on his weekly radio show:
O: "When you come to #LSU, Alabama is the game. It's a must-win game. I look at it as a must-win game as a coach."

For the fourth time during the past seven years, Alabama will be the No. 1 team in the country when it plays LSU.
That will certainly make things much tougher for Coach O and the Tigers, but it’s still a game the Tigers will need to win in order to regain their status as an elite program.
Both teams are on a bye this week, so they’ll be fully rested to play each other next Saturday, which should mean that fans will be in for a good game between two strong teams.
