Ed Orgeron comments on LSU stopping Alabama's rushing attack
The LSU Tigers gave Alabama a tough game on Saturday, but still left Tuscaloosa with a 24-10 loss.
However, unlike every other Alabama opponent this year, the Tigers actually found some success against the Crimson Tide running game, holding the talented Tide backfield to only 116 yards.
On Wednesday night, coach Ed Orgeron said on his weekly radio show that he thought the Tigers would have more trouble shutting down Alabama’s ground game than they actually did:
Orgeron admits that "we thought we'd have a difficult time stopping (Bama's) run. We didn't."#LSU

He added that he felt the game was much closer than the score indicated, as the Tigers failed to capitalize on some good scoring opportunities:
Orgeron on Bama: "Thought we could win the game all week. Came up a couple of plays short. Had a chance to hit 3 TD passes. Very close and didn't." #LSU

The Tigers will have a chance to get back on track when they host a struggling Arkansas squad this weekend.
Saturday’s game kicks off at 11 a.m. Central time and can be seen on ESPN.
