Ed Orgeron cracks great Joe Burrow joke when asked about Myles Brennan's status for Saturday
It has been a long year for the LSU Tigers, who currently have a 1-2 overall record and just had last weekend’s game against Florida postponed.
Now, they could be without starting QB Myles Brennan on Saturday against South Carolina, as he’s dealing with an injury.
On his weekly radio show, coach Ed Orgeron was asked who would start if Brennan wasn’t available, and decided to crack a joke about 2019 Heisman winner Joe Burrow coming back:
A caller asks Ed Orgeron who will start this weekend if Myles Brennan can’t go.
“We’re bringing back Joe Burrow,” Orgeron jokes. #LSU

Unfortunately for LSU fans, Burrow has his hands full leading the Cincinnati Bengals this season, and it’s not the Bengals’ bye week. But hey, it never hurts to dream!
The real competition behind Brennan features freshmen Max Johnson and TJ Finley. If Brennan can’t play, 1 of those 2 guys will get the start.
