Heading into Week 6, LSU was sitting at 3-2 and coming off an embarrassing homecoming loss to Troy.
Somehow, though, the Tigers pulled themselves together and are now 7-3. The turnaround started with a game at Florida, which LSU won 17-16.
On Wednesday night, LSU coach Ed Orgeron said the moment that turned around the Tigers’ season was when Florida K Eddy Pineiro missed an extra point in the third quarter, which proved to be the difference in the game:

Since then, the Tigers have won against Florida, Ole Miss and Arkansas, with their only loss coming to No. 1 Alabama.
The next two weeks, LSU plays Tennessee and Texas A&M, which are very winnable games. Things are a lot better in Baton Rouge now than they were in Week 5 after the loss to Troy.
Now, it’s up to Coach O and his squad to finish on a high note and make it to a quality bowl game.
