Ed Orgeron portrayed in Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson's new TV series 'Young Rock'
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson couldn’t accurately tell his story without noting his infamous defensive line coach that he remains close with to this day.
That coach, of course, is LSU head coach Ed Orgeron.
Long before he was named head coach in Baton Rouge, Orgeron was regarded by many as the best defensive line coach in the country. Orgeron’s reputation for coaching defensive linemen began to grow during his time with the Miami Hurricanes, where Johnson played college football before becoming a superstar wrestler.
In a creative new television series called “Young Rock,” Johnson’s history is told in a unique way, from the perspective of Johnson as he makes a hypothetical run for president in 2032.
So the story will be somewhat autobiographical, which leads to the portrayal of Orgeron in the debut episode of the series.
If you missed it, the actor that is supposed to be Orgeron really embraced the role — outside of hitting the weights and physically looking the part.

I will not be voting for Dwayne Johnson for President.
Talk about low hanging fruit. Geez my knees.
There’s no sport on this. I’ll sit this one out.
Enjoy fellas.
Orgeron was bigger than that at birth.
Television is for imbeciles, by imbeciles. Inhale it, maroons.
chuckle chuckle….
Creative my ass.
I didn’t think it was all that bad. I do think the guys is way too small for O, though. Dwayne Johnson called Coach o and told him that he wanted to have a character of him in the show. I think the intention was there, even if the execution was not the best…still, not all that bad.
They had the actor put a bag of marbles in his mouth so he could sound like Coach O. It didn’t work too well. Heck I can do a better Orgeron than that.
Hypothetical run for President Canāt think of a more ridiculous plot line or a worse way to waste my time than by watching an autobiography on the rock who became āfamousā by wrastlin.
Sounds much too intelligent to be Orgeron.
