Ed Orgeron is one of the many college football coaches addressing his team about the recent protests surrounding the tragic deaths of George Floyd and others.

In his latest appearance on ESPN 104.5 FM Baton Rouge radio show “Off the Bench,” Orgeron detailed the discussions with his players and shared what kind of actions they will be taking.

“I talked to them about specific stuff that’s going on in our world today and I had a leadership committee, 12 of our guys, we got together and voice their opinion for us to come up with a solution,” Orgeron said. “One of the solutions they came up with as a group, to represent the team, is that we’re all going to register to vote. All of our players will be checking in today and we’re going to register to vote online.”

During the segment, Orgeron also discussed his excitement for the team’s return to workouts (which were postponed a day due to Tropical Storm Cristobal), new defensive coordinator Bo Pelini and more Tigers topics. The full interview can be streamed here.
