Ed Orgeron throws out first pitch at LSU baseball season-opener
Ed Orgeron is among the thousands in Baton Rouge stopping by The Box on Valentine’s Day.
The LSU football head coach threw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Tigers baseball’s 2020 season-opener Friday night. Orgeron, sporting a special “Coach O” LSU baseball jersey, went full windup from the mound. LSU baseball’s official Twitter account shared a video of the pitch, which was appropriately caught by two-sport athlete Maurice Hampton Jr.:
Coach O looks good in a baseball uniform!

LSU baseball is coming off a 40-26 campaign in 2019. The Tigers won the Baton Rouge Regional, but fell to Florida State in the Baton Rouge Super Regional, missing out on the College World Series in Omaha.
Paul Mainieri’s squad is opening the new season against Indiana. Before taking the field, the Tigers were treated to some classic Coach O fire, with instructions to “kick ass.” The football team’s official Twitter account shared a video, which also includes the pitch:
