Efton Reid is back in the transfer portal, according to a report.

On3’s Jamie Shaw was 1st to report that news on Tuesday afternoon. Reid spent the 2022-23 season at Gonzaga.

Reid did not have much of a role with the Bulldogs this past season. He played in 25 games off the bench, but averaged just 4.6 minutes per contest. He scored 2.1 points per game during his limited action.

His decision to transfer means he will play for 3 different programs in his 1st 3 seasons at the collegiate level. He was solid as a true freshman at LSU in 2021-22, averaging 6.3 points and 4.3 rebounds per game.

Reid was a 5-star prospect in the class of 2021. He was the No. 27 overall player and the No. 3 center in the country for that cycle, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

If Reid is unable to secure a waiver from the NCAA, he may have to sit out a season before he is eligible to play at his next program.
