Eli Ricks is one of many key LSU players who will be out for the rest of the season, perhaps along with fellow star cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. (Stingley is currently only out “indefinitely.”)
Ricks had a lingering shoulder issue that was fixed with recent surgery. The recovery timetable is unknown at this time.
But, at least it appears the surgery went well. Ricks took to Twitter on Tuesday morning to share that the surgery on his ailing shoulder was a success:
Surgery was a success ??

Ricks burst onto the scene in 2020 with 4 interceptions as a true freshman. This year, he had 1 interception and 11 tackles before he shut things down for the season.
Hopefully, his recovery goes well and he’s able to return to the field at full strength in 2022.
