Though Kardell Thomas and Tyrion Davis have both been committed to LSU for more than a year, the Southern Lab School teammates drummed up a bit of drama on Early Signing Day.

Thomas brought an additional hat for his announcement, while Davis paused for dramatic effort before revealing his college choice. But both elite Baton Rouge prospects chose the Tigers anyway Wednesday, as you can see in the videos below tweeted by LSU beat writer Amie Just.

Thomas, a 5-star offensive guard, has been committed to LSU since July 2016. According to 247Sports.com’s composite ratings, Thomas is the second-best player at his position and the No. 32 overall player in the Class of 2019.

Davis, meanwhile, slots at the No. 8 running back in the nation, per 247Sports’ Composite metric. The 4-star recruit who measures 6-foot-1, 230 pounds, has been a Tigers pledge since June 2017.

Thomas and Davis make for some of the highest-rated players in LSU’s No. 4 recruiting class, and their signings continue an outstanding day for Ed Orgeron and the Tigers.
